Bacon and Ambrosia Gold® Apple Sliders


PATTIES

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup red onion, chopped
  • ⅔ cup Ambrosia Gold® apple, cored and shredded
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 thick bacon slices, cooked and chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp coarse pepper
  • 12 thin slices Swiss cheese

APPLE AIOLI

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 5 tsp apple juice concentrate
  • 12 cocktail buns, split
  • 1 Ambrosia GoldĀ® apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • Very small lettuce leaves or fresh baby spinach

Preheat broiler.

Prepare the patties: Mix patty ingredients except cheese until just combined and form into 12 patties. Broil patties 4 inches from heat for 8 to 12 minutes, turning once. Place a cheese slice on top of each patty. Continue broiling until the cheese begins to melt. (Patties should reach an internal temperature of 160 F.)

Prepare the apple aioli: Blend mayonnaise and apple juice concentrate.

Spread aioli on the bun bottoms. Top with patties, apple slices and lettuce or baby spinach. Makes 4 servings.
