Wheely convenient

If you think you need a car or truck to visit your local Costco warehouse, you might be surprised. Costco members across the U.S. are using cargo bikes to make their trips.

Cargo bikes are designed to carry or deliver loads of goods. For example, Tim Gilbery of Kirkland, Washington, shared a photo of 200 pounds of Costco goods strapped to his bike.

Stylianos Karolidis of Queens, New York, says he got his cargo bike in 2022 specifically for trips to Costco. “I go about once a week and am always surprised by how much I can haul back,” he says.

For Gillian Burgess, her cargo bike adds convenience to her shopping trips. “I live in Arlington, Virginia, and find that biking is the best way to get to the Pentagon City Costco,” she says.—Stephanie E. Ponder
