My family and I volunteer at our local VFW [Veterans of Foreign Wars]. Supporting veterans and small business at the same time.

I look for local products that Costco carries.

My husband and I frequent our local nurseries for our spring and summer garden supplies, as well as ordering take-out from the many food establishments in our neighborhood. I shop in surrounding small businesses for unique and interesting gifts.
Linda Ceci Havron
Having my own small business where I go to fairs and festivals, I try to buy from the other small businesses that are there as well. So often at Christmastime, at these events, I can find unique gifts.

We almost exclusively eat at local, non-chain restaurants.
Hannah Berry
We prefer to shop locally whenever possible. Being in an area with a very small downtown, we have found our local artisans, used bookstore, vintage and antique shops, and craft store invaluable for both keeping us occupied with projects and reading, and helping us pass the time, getting exercise walking downtown.
Carol Greenwood Brister
According to the Small Business Administration, small businesses (those with fewer than 500 employees) make up 99.9% of all businesses in America.

- 61.2 million people in the U.S. are employed by small businesses.
- A record 17 million new small businesses are predicted to launch in 2022.
