New York Sour

- 2 oz Kirkland Signature Small Batch Tennessee Bourbon
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1⁄2 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Supérieur
- 1 wide strip of lemon zest
In a cocktail shaker, shake the bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup with ice for about 20 seconds. Strain into a short rocks glass over fresh ice. Hold the back of a spoon just above the drink’s surface and slowly pour the red wine over it into the cocktail, floating it gently on the top. Twist lemon zest over the cocktail and rub the edge of the glass with it. Then garnish glass with the zest.
Tip: Resist the urge to stir it—let the flavors “get to know each other” on their own. Makes 1 serving.
