Wagons, ho!
“We love Mexico and want to share our experience with others. Starting this business was that simple,” says Dan Goy, founder and owner, along with his wife, Lisa, of Baja Amigos RV Caravan Tours (bajaamigos.net). The Canadian-based company has escorted and guided over 60 tours of Mexico—with RVers from the U.S. and Canada—providing camaraderie-filled vacations since the Goys founded the company in 2009.
The Goys, Costco members who live in West Kelowna, British Columbia, specialize in small caravan tours, with no more than seven RVs (travelers bring their own) and 14 people, and itineraries that include 45-day autumn tours of mainland Mexico or the Baja Peninsula and 30-day winter tours. “Traveling with a caravan gives RVers the confidence and experience to return on their own if they so desire in the future,” Dan says.—Irene Middleman Thomas
