Re: “Makeover magic,” April 2022

We added on approximately 1,200-plus square feet for a glamour bath with a steam shower, an upstairs laundry room, a master bedroom with sitting room and two 12-by-7-foot walk-in closets. We saw a vanity in the Connection last summer and were immediately drawn to it. The vanity inspired us for the color, style and size to use in our new addition.

In addition, we purchased from Costco our bath towels; Moen towel racks, hooks and toilet paper holders; as well as an LG 86-inch TV.

We are thrilled with the addition and thank Costco for the inspiration. Costco continues to be our go-to place for everything.

Scots and Americans

In the April Costco Connection you published a reminder about Tartan Day and its significance to all Americans [“It’s time for Tartan Day,” Costco Life]. Thank you on behalf of Scots everywhere. Not only was it an eye-catching display but it was a small lesson in American history. It was a unique and clever way to teach your readers.

Ongoing sustainability efforts

Thank you so much for publishing your sustainability report update in the Connection. Thanks also for all the work that you and your employees are putting into it. The climate crisis is the crisis of our time, as it will make all the other crises more difficult. I appreciate Costco taking this very seriously and being transparent with its members.

It would be great to hear how we can support this effort. Perhaps it makes sense for the next chapter of your commitment to create goals for ways that members can be part of it, as well as ways to track our progress.

Oahu and Polynesian culture

In your April issue article about visiting Oahu [“Island of delights”], the writer neglected to mention a destination that is a shame to miss, the Polynesian Cultural Center. A person easily can spend an entire day there, if not more.
