Memory & Storage
Memory stores temporary data, which your computer needs to perform tasks in the short-term. The more memory your PC has, the more tasks it can handle simultaneously. 8GB of memory will handle most users’ daily demands, but you should consider buying a system with 16GB and up, for more intensive use like gaming and professional applications.
Storage is where your PC saves data for the long-term.
Solid State Drives (SSD) give the fastest speeds to access your files, but cost more for for similar amounts of storage space. They are also necessary for thinner lighter devices, due to the smaller footprint.
Hard Disk Drives (HDD) are generally less expensive and often offer larger storage capacity, but at slower speeds and in a larger footprint.
