How Does the Costco Discount Prescription Program Work?
CMPP is an Rx discount program that enables Costco members to save money by receiving lower medication prices at Costco and participating network pharmacies. Costco negotiates discounts on drug prices to offer members lower prices on medications. It's simple. There's no enrollment or extra fees - no coupons, no insurance or other RX cards required.
The CMPP pricing applies to in-person or mail order at local Costco pharmacies and at thousands of participating neighborhood pharmacies including: Albertsons, Kroger, Safeway, Walgreens, Wegman, Vons, and many more.
CMPP is an easy way for Costco members to take advantage of lower prescription prices.

How much of a prescription discount can I expect?
The Costco Member Prescription Program offers discounts on preprescription drugs up to 80% or more, depending on the medication.
Ask your Costco pharmacist about your CMPP savings. They can also recommend a similar medication as a replacement for the one you have been prescribed, which may have a higher discount.
Do prescriptions cost the same at all pharmacies?
Prescription prices can vary from one pharmacy to the next. That is why we encourage our members to visit costco.com/cmpp to compare prices before filling their prescriptions.
Even if you have insurance, it’s important to compare your copay cost to the CMPP discount price to ensure that you’re getting the lowest price possible. Please note that prices are subject to change and may vary by location.
Can you use CMPP with insurance, government programs, or other RX cards?
CMPP can only be used as the primary prescription discount. CMPP cannot be combined with any commercial, Med D or State plans. Rx discount cards, coupons and other standard insurance programs CANNOT be used in conjunction with CMPP discount card pricing.
